Digital Marketing Importance

Why Digital Marketing Is Important?

Digital media is so pervasive that consumers have access to information any time and any place they want it. Gone are the days when the messages people got about your products or services came from you and consisted of only what you wanted them to know.

Digital media is an ever-growing source of entertainment, news, shopping and social interaction, and consumers are now exposed not just to what your company says about your brand, but what the media, friends, relatives, peers, etc., are saying as well. And they are more likely to believe them than you. People want brands they can trust, companies that know them, communications that are personalized and relevant, and offers tailored to their needs and preferences.

Manage Customer Relationships Across All Channels

Digital marketing and its associated channels are important – but not to the exclusion of all else. It’s not enough to just know your customers; you must know them better than anybody else so you can communicate with them where, when and how they are most receptive to your message. To do that, you need a consolidated view of customer preferences and expectations across all channels – Web, social media, mobile, direct mail, point of sale, etc.

Marketers can use this information to create and anticipate consistent, coordinated customer experiences that will move customers along in the buying cycle. The deeper your insight into customer behavior and preferences, the more likely you are to engage them in lucrative interactions

Challenges Facing Digital Marketers

  •  Proliferation of digital channels. Consumers use multiple digital channels and a variety of devices that use different protocols, specifications and interfaces – and they interact with those devices in different ways and for different purposes.
  •     Intensifying competition. Digital channels are relatively cheap, compared with traditional media, making them within reach of practically every business of every size. As a result, it’s becoming a lot harder to capture consumers’ attention.
  •     Exploding data volumes. Consumers leave behind a huge trail of data in digital channels. It’s extremely difficult to get a handle on all that data, as well as find the right data within exploding data volumes that can help you make the right decisions.

Three Keys to Digital Marketing Success

  1.     Manage complex customer relationships across a variety of channels – both digital and traditional.
  2.     Respond to and initiate dynamic customer interactions.
  3.     Extract value from big data to make better decisions faster.

Google Penguin updates - Is This Effects Ranking ?????? Is Penguin fully live?

After a nearly two year wait,

Google’s Penguin algorithm is back  ??

It’s also the last release of this type, as Google now says Penguin is a real-time signal processed within its core search algorithm.

Penguin goes real-time

Penguin is a filter designed to capture sites that are spamming Google’s search results in ways that Google’s regular spamming systems might not detect.

In other words, the Penguin filter would run and catch sites deemed spammy. Those sites would remain penalized even if they improved and changed until the next time the filter ran, which could take months.

With this latest release, Penguin becomes real-time. As Google recrawls and reindexes pages — which happens constantly — those pages will be assessed by the Penguin filter. Pages will be caught and/or freed by Penguin as part of this regular process.

As Google said in its post:

With this change, Penguin’s data is refreshed in real time, so changes will be visible much faster, typically taking effect shortly after we recrawl and reindex a page.

Penguin becomes more page-specific, not sitewide only

Google also said this new Penguin algorithm is “more granular.” From its post:Penguin is now more granular. Penguin now devalues spam by adjusting ranking based on spam signals, rather than affecting ranking of the whole site.

Previously, Penguin was a sitewide penalty. So, does being “more granular” mean that it’s now page-specific? Yes and no, it seems. We asked Google for more clarity about this, and we were told:It means it affects finer granularity than sites. It does not mean it only affects pages.

Our best interpretation of this statement is that Penguin might impact specific pages on a site, or it might impact sections or wide swaths of a site, while other pages are fine.

Google will no longer confirm Penguin update

Google also said with this update, it will no longer confirm future Penguin updates. That makes sense. Since it’s a constant process, there’s nothing to confirm.

Is Penguin fully live?

This real-time Penguin update is probably not fully live yet. It is now “rolling out,” Google said. Google didn’t tell us how long it may take to roll out, but I suspect it won’t take that long, maybe a couple of weeks. If Google regularly revisits your pages, then you should likely see the change quickly. If Google comes to your site more infrequently, it may take longer.

Some swore they saw this roll out yesterday, but Google would not confirm that.

 Let's   see What Happens  ?????

Google AMP (Accelerated Mobile Pages)

What is Google AMP?

AMP is an open source venture intended to web distributers make portable enhanced substance that heaps in a split second on all gadgets, as indicated by Google. "We need pages with rich substance like video, livelinesss and design to work nearby shrewd promotions, and to stack promptly," Google wrote in a blog entry. "We likewise need the same code to work over different stages and gadgets with the goal that substance can show up wherever in a moment — regardless of what sort of telephone, tablet or cell phone you're utilizing." SEO Bangalore,SEO Services Bangalore,SEO Agencies Bangalore,SEO company Bangalore Google's objective with AMP is to convey the most ideal versatile experience to its clients. "Google needs to get data to the end client as quick as could be allowed," says Michael Bertini, a quest showcasing master for computerized advertising office iQuanti. "Google doesn't need the client to need to hold up to peruse or see something."

How does Google AMP work?

The open AMP HTML framework piggybacks on existing web technologies, but it also lets site owners create "light-weight" web pages, according to Google. "AMP-HTML is simply HTML5 with a set of specifications (requirements and restrictions)," Google's Galfi told SearchEngineLand.com. "The optimization is powered by JavaScript, styling can be customized via CSS3, and pages are cached." SEO specialist Bangalore ,Web Marketing Companies Bangalore,Web Marketing Services Bangalore Caching is core to AMP, Galfi said. From SearchEngineLand.com: "[Galfi] explained that Google AMP cache functions in a similar manner as a content delivery network (CDN), that it is free for anyone to use and that it works on 'stale-while-revalidate' model. This model helps make sure the content is always up to date in the cache. The process by which it works is quite simple: When a request is made, the client receives the cached version while the document is requested again from its original server to be updated in the cache." AMPs are "completely separate from a typical mobile site," says Jim Robinson, founder and CEO of ClickSeed, a digital marketing and SEO agency. "Assuming your site has a desktop version, a mobile version and an AMP version, the desktop version will be the canonical (preferred version), and the mobile and AMP versions will each be annotated separately as alternates." Site publishers can serve their own ads through AMP, "although there are restrictions on sizes and placements," Robinson says. "Most major publishers serve ads through DoubleClick for Publishers (DFP) or OpenX, both of which are compatible with AMP."

Why did Google create AMP?

Web surfers want rapid search results, according to Eric Enge, CEO of digital marketing agency Stone Temple Consulting. "This means Google wants to give users speed, because they have serious competition in today's world. And if they can offer superior speed for content accessed via search results, they will maintain or win market share," Enge says. "Also, Google wants to keep people on the mobile web. While Google has five of the nine most-installed mobile apps, the reality is that their market share is far less certain there."

What does AMP mean for SEO?

AMP is not directly a search engine ranking factor, and sites that adopt AMP won't "get a massive boost in search ranking," according to Richard Gingras, senior director of news and social products at Google, who spoke to AdAge.com. "All of the other (search engine ranking) signals need to be satisfied as well," he said. However, "speed matters" in search engine ranking, according to Gingras. "If we had two articles that from a signaling perspective scored the same in all other characteristics but for speed, then yes, we will give an emphasis to the one with speed because that is what users find compelling." AMP can also indirectly influence where Google places pages in search results, according to Petty. If an AMP gets more clicks and fewer bounces because it's faster to load, Google determines that the page is valuable to users, and it's likely to get higher placement in search results.

Benefits Of SEO For Small Businesses

Create a better and more user friendly website

For starters, SEO will help you create a better, faster and friendlier website for users. Despite the name, search engine optimization is not only about search engines but the focus is on the user. When your users are happy, search engines are happy as well. Following good on page SEO techniques improves the user experience and this creates a number of short term and long term benefits.

Find new customers and assist growth

If you think about it, one of the main reasons you have a website is to increase and differentiate your customer base. It is a fact that businesses that have a website grow twice as fast as businesses that don’t have a website.
SEO will help you gain better rankings in search engine result pages and this translates to more targeted visits and essentially to more customers.

Achieve better conversion rates

An SEO optimized website is fast, easy to use and compatible with mobile and tablet devices. This also translates to better conversions i.e. visitors coming to your website are more likely to become customers, subscribers or loyal visitors.

Build brand awareness through better rankings

One of the hidden advantages of ranking in the top positions of the SERPs is brand awareness. Users are more likely to trust a brand when it appears in the first places when they search for a term rather than brands that don’t have a good web presence.
Small businesses that need to build brand awareness (either for local purposes or for expanding nationally) need to invest in SEO and gain top positions for the terms related to their business. This is not the 90’s anymore and search engines play a very important role in building or destroying a brand.

Build a dedicated fan base via newsletter

A good SEO approach means more traffic and a great way to build a dedicated fan base through RSS feeds and newsletter. These two services existed before social media and they are still very important sources of traffic. In fact many successful bloggers claim that most of their money comes from their email lists and not from social media or other medium.
So, even if you are working on your social media marketing it is necessary to make it easy for your users to subscribe to your feed and newsletter. What happens in many cases is that websites do have a newsletter box, people enter their emails to subscribe but the website never sends a newsletter out.

Easy SEO Tips to Improve Your Website Ranking

Google recently posted quick and easy tips and, after reading back over it, I quickly realized, these tips May Help you to improve the Ranking

As a result, I have compiled a list of quick and simple tips for websites to increase traffic - whether it's to make the sale online or to increase foot traffic to your brick-and-mortar location, your web presence is a critical part of your business plan. The tips below are fast, free, and can make a big difference in your organic SEO.

1. Verify that your site is indexed (and is returned in search results)
Check your snippet content and page titles with the site: command [site:example.com] -- do they look accurate and descriptive for users? Ideally, each title and snippet should be unique in order to reflect that each URL contains unique content. If anything is missing or you want more details, you can also use the Content Analysis tool in Google's Webmaster Tools. There you can see which URLs on your site show duplicate titles or meta descriptions.

2. Label your images accurately
Don't miss out on potential customers with poor or missing alt text. Good 'alt' text and descriptive filenames help search engines better understand images, make sure you change non-descriptive file names [001.jpg] to something more accurate [NintendoWii.jpg]. Image Search has the potential to send significant search traffic, so you should take advantage of it.

3. Know what the search engines know (about your site)
Check for crawl errors and learn the top queries that bring traffic to your site through Webmaster Tools. You can use Google's diagnostics checklist or MSN's crawl issues tool to aid in this process.

4. Have a plan for expiring and temporary pages
Make sure to serve accurate HTTP status codes. If you no longer sell a product, serve a 404. If you have changed a product page to a new URL, serve a 301 to redirect the old page to the new one. Keeping your site up-to-date can help bring more targeted traffic your way and provide an overall more useful visitor experience.

5. Increase foot traffic too
If your website directs customers to a brick-and-mortar location, make sure you claim and double check your business listing in Google Local, Local.com, MSN's Local Listing and Yahoo Local.

6.Usability 101
Test the usability of your checkout process with various browswers and ensure the coding is valid. Ask yourself if a user can get from product page to checkout without assistance. Is your checkout button easy to find?

7.Tell the search engines where to find all of your web pages
If you upload new products faster than the search engines crawl your site, make sure to submit a sitemap and include 'last modification' and change frequency' information. A Sitemap can point searchbots to your new or hard-to-find content. Both Google's webmaster tools, MSN webmaster central and Yahoo!'s Site Explorer allow for sitemap submissions. You can read a quick question and answer on Google sitemaps for more details. Additionally, be sure to utilize robots.txt to funnel the search bots to content you want crawled and content that should not be indexed.

So, that's all for now.

The Benefits of Webmaster Tools

There are many benefits to registering your website with webmaster tools.  Utilizing webmaster tools on your site will ensure that you are running a healthy website with the utmost efficiency.

Basic Benefits:
  • Access to search statistics on Google
  • Latest data regarding incoming links and internal links
  • Sends notification if your site has any crawl errors (misdirecting) and/or malware (spam, viruses, etc)
  • Shows you keywords you are targeting and how effective they are
  • Insights into crawling and indexing activity on the site
The Breakdown:
Now, there is a lot to be said about webmaster tools, so let me summarize while highlighting the most important characteristics. Google Webmaster Tools allows you to access five main compartments of information about your site.  Configuration, Health, Traffic, Optimization and Labs.  The dashboard gives you a summary of some of the most important information you are going to want to see. Of the five tabs, Health, Traffic and Optimization contain the most helpful information for optimizing your site.
Being able to see at a glance the health of your site is important. Google webmaster tools allows you to see crawl errors, crawl stats and malware with a click of a button. Crawling is basically an all encompassing word for how users move around your site. Improving crawling of your site and getting rid of any malware (viruses, bugs, etc.) can very much improve your site and make users happy.
By understanding the traffic of your site, you can begin to understand about your audience and how they view your site in search engines.  Under the “Traffic” tab, the Search Queries section will allow you to look deep into the statistics of how your viewers are finding your site.  Here you can view what keywords people are using to find you, how often those keywords are directing them to your site, number of clicks, impressions and their CTR (click through ratio).  Once you have a more indepth understanding of your audience, you can cater your SEO keywords to them, thus directing more traffic to your site.
The “Traffic” tab also allows you to access your link information.  Inbound and internal links are the holy grail for SEO Service.

Inbound Links:
  1. Links from somebody else’s website to yours.  Here you want to be looking for quality.  The goal is for high quality sites with good content, page rank, and relevant to your needs to link from their page to your site.
  2. It is important to not have these inbound links always directing to one page (i.e. Home Page). Push the direction of links to other pages that may not be seen as much in order to strengthen your SEO.
Internal Links:
  1. In layman’s terms, an internal link is one that points to another page on the same website.
  2. The more links that point to a particular page, Google sees that as the page having a perceived value.
  3. Internal links help facilitate the movement of your visitor through your site.

Under the “Optimization” tab there are two very notable tools , HTML Improvements and Content Keywords.  HTML Improvements shows your Meta descriptions, title tags and non-indexable content.  By addressing these, you may help improve your site’s user experience and performance. The Content Keywords page lists the most significant keywords and their variants Google found when crawling your site.  Using these keywords in conjunction with Search Queries provides insight into Google’s interpretation of your site’s content.

How to Install Google Webmaster tools:
Google webmaster tools has a relatively simple site verification process that must be completed in order to access your site on webmaster tools.  In order to install Google webmaster tools, you must have a Google account.  If you have a gmail account, you simply use that to log in to webmaster tools by clicking here  www.google.com/webmasters/tools/.  If you do not have a Google account, you can create a free one here: http://bit.ly/12gq89q. Or else If you want seo services
Please Visit:  SEO Bangalore | SEO Services Bangalore

http://www.zinavo.in/
Once you log in to webmaster tools, there are 3 different ways to verify your site: XML file, Meta Tag, or CNAME.
I have had the most success using the Meta tag verification option. If your site is built on WordPress, and you use Yoast SEO plugin, there is a very simple way to verify your site through the general settings of that plugin using the Meta tag. When you input the Meta tag into Yoast SEO, be sure that you use only the tag and not the surrounding code. Example below:

Webmaster Tools VS. Google Analytics:
So, why use webmaster tools when you have access to a lot of the same information on Google Analytics?  While webmaster tools may seem similar to analytics, there are many distinct differences between the two.  Google Analytics is meant to give a picture of who is coming to a website, how many hits a site gets, how people are finding the site and what content is popular. Webmaster tools differ in that they are designed to provide a picture on how a website is seen by a search engine.  How does Google perceive your site?
